The idea
A local discovery and social app for exploring cafés, restaurants and places nearby. People share photos and stories, discover what is happening around them and keep the conversation going in private messages.
Who it's for
People exploring a city, and the places that want to be found in it. Discovery is the product — the feed exists to give a reason to come back between explorations.
What it makes possible
People can discover their surroundings through both a map and what others share. Local places become part of the discovery experience, and conversations help turn a nearby moment into a connection.

My role

I was the mobile developer on this product. I built the apps and made the technical decisions behind them.

A city people can actually browse
Cafés, restaurants and places appear on a map around the person holding the phone, with photos, ratings and reviews — so choosing where to go stops being guesswork off a search result.
A reason to open the app between outings
Posts, stories and a nearby feed keep the app alive on the days nobody is going anywhere. That habit is what turns a directory into an audience a venue is willing to pay to reach.
Smooth however much content there is
Photos and video keep scrolling cleanly as the community grows, and video plays only when it is actually on screen — so the app stays light on battery and mobile data instead of being the one people uninstall.
A community that stays worth being in
Private accounts, follower approval, blocking and reporting are part of the product rather than a later patch, with a real review process behind every report. Trust is what keeps people posting.
